Regular school hours are 7:15 a.m. to 2:05 p.m. On half-day/early release days, students are dismissed at 11:25 a.m.

Mission
To educate the whole child with the support and collaboration of the entire learning community. Through the efforts of our building level committees in the areas of Data Driven Instruction, Character Education, Community Engagement, Positive Behavior Support and Professional Development we will provide our students opportunities for discovery learning and active participation in the process of continuous improvement.

History
Margaret Buerkle Middle School opened in the fall of 1975. The school is named after former teacher and administrator Margaret Buerkle. Buerkle worked in Mehlville School District for 38 years and was the first female administrator.
