Margaret Buerkle Middle
The mission of
Margaret Buerkle Middle School is to educate the whole child with the
support and collaboration of the entire learning community. Through the
efforts of our building level committees in the areas of Data Driven
Instruction, Character Education, Community Engagement, Positive
Behavior Support and Professional Development we will provide our
students opportunities for discovery learning and active participation
in the process of continuous improvement.
Education Partnership (CEP) honored Margaret Buerkle Middle School, 1 of
230 schools and districts selected from across the United States as
well as Mexico and Puerto Rico, as a recipient of the 2012 CEP National
Award for implementing the anti-bullying program,"Step Into My Shoes" – a
“Promising Practice” in character education.
For the third
time, the National Association of Student Councils recognizes Margaret
Buerkle Middle School’s student council as a 2012 National Gold Council
of Excellence. The gold seal is a testament to the exemplary leadership
and activities that our student leaders put forth to improve our school
and community in "service to others!"
